IG Wines is proud to present a dinner featuring the wines of Chateau Pape Clement with Augustin Deschamps of Bernard Magrez.
Chateau Pape Clement needs little introduction, having the distinction of being the oldest clearly identifiable vineyard in Bordeaux. The Estate’s reputation continues to grow; it is simply producing some of the best wines in Bordeaux, both red and white. Bernard Magrez also needs little introduction, his four Grand Cru Chateaux have all moved from strength to strength over the last ten years complimented by his pioneering marketing. From employing drones to assist harvesting in the vineyard, to jointly opening Joel Robuchon’s first Bordeaux restaurant last year, his attention to detail and insistence on the best is displayed vividly in his wines.
We are delighted to welcome Augustin Deschamps, Director of Development – Grands Crus Classes Bernard Magrez, who will be providing wines directly from the cellars of Bernard Magrez’s chateaux. We will include a selection of vintages of both Pape Clement red and white, the latter of which a mere 350 cases per year is produced and sells out immediately. Mr Magrez’s Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Frombrauge, and his stunning Premier Cru Classe Sauternes, Clos Haut Peyraguey, will also be tasted. The wines will be paired with a specially-designed menu at the critically acclaimed French restaurant, Otto’s. The dinner is limited to 25 guests.
