Joseph Drouhin Dinner at The Mandrake

IG Wines are delighted to host an evening with Christophe Thomas, Export Director of Domaine Joseph Drouhin, ands Cassidy Dart MW, who will showcase a range of Drouhins’ top wines, a Burgundian legend.
Hosted at the exceptional Mandrake hotels private dining room, guests will enjoy a Champagne reception, canapes, five-course menu together with five different Burgundy appellations ranging from Village to Grand Cru from Maison Joseph Drouhin.

The event will be held on Thursday 18th October starting with a Champagne reception from 7.30pm and seated for dinner at 8.00pm. Monsieur Thomas, will host the dinner guiding us through the wines, which will be served with specially designed food pairings.

 

For the last 130 years, Maison Joseph Drouhin has been in the hands of the Drouhin family. Today, the fourth generation is at its helm, still conveying the same passion that inspired Joseph Drouhin, the founder of the ‘Maison’, to create some of the best Burgundian wine anywhere. Drouhin has adopted the biological and biodynamic approach. Only natural products are used in the vineyards and all procedures show the utmost respect for the soil, the vine and the environment.

The style of Joseph Drouhin is an alliance between character, balance and harmony. Wines meant to be drunk young are fresh and subtle; wines dsigned for laying down develop with age tertiary flavours and complexity. The wines of Joseph Drouhin are found on the finest tables in the world – they bring out the best in Burgundy.
